Day Camp for Boys and Girls: Ages 6 - 12
Weekday (Mon - Fri) sessions (9am to 5pm, pickup by 5:30pm)
Summer Camp for Boys and Girls: Ages 8 - 16
Three 2-week sessions, two 4-week combination sessions,
and four 1-week sessions are all available.
Adventure Week for Boys and Girls: Ages 12 - 17
Our newest program for older campers.
No campfires, no arts & crafts. Pure adventure.
Choose an area of focus: Water Sports, Horseback Riding, or Wilderness
Sports.
Driving Instructions: Take the Grass Valley turnoff to Highway 49 and
follow it to Nevada City. Turn left at the exit marked Downieville/Highway
49. Proceed 2 blocks on Highway 49 to the stop light, turn right onto
North Bloomfield Road. After 4/10 mile turn left at Lake Vera-Purdon
Road to New Rome Road. Turn left on New Rome, Snow Mountain Camp is on
the left 3/10 mile down New Rome Road.
Kelly and Cliff Newell have a deep appreciation and
commitment to the camp experience. They use their many skills from
years of experience in education and camping to continue the excellence
of Snow Mountain Camp. They live at camp year ’round while raising
their school-aged children.

Campers can choose to attend camp for one session (two weeks) or two
sessions (four weeks).

Sierra Friends Camp offers children aged 9 - 14 a memorable
camping experience rooted in Quaker values of compassion for oneself,
others, and the natural world.
